    I am female, in my early 50s, with huge work demands that have me glued to the desk for hours on end. If it wasn’t for Ian’s flexibility with schedule, keen observation on what motivates me and then using this to gently push me forward, I would have possibly given up on exercising long time ago.

    Ian saw the whole person in me. He was always checking my level of energy, inquiring about my eating, drinking and sleeping patterns, and was adjusting exercise to be challenging enough but never over the line. Ian monitored and tracked my progress better than I did. He always watched carefully how I was doing the exercises and corrected me when correction was needed. He celebrated every milestone with me. He was fully present to me and my needs during the class. Ian’s positive attitude and sense of humour always got me to do a little extra every time. Often he had good nutritional tip but were also keen to learn about new practices and research I would mention.

    I've been attending Ian since October 2019 after being recommended him for shoulder rehabilitation PT. I had been in an accident 4 years previous and was very nervous about it as any wrong movement could upset my shoulder. I wasn't let down by the recommendation!

    Apart from his extensive knowledge he is also so welcoming and so easy to chat to which makes the PT sessions fly. For me in particular it was a lot about trying what would work for my body. So if one thing didn't work he would have something else to help build my shoulder and also would pair different exercises to change up the sessions you could never get bored or the same exercises.

    I am still with Ian nearly 2 years now and after having another surgery he still is helping me build my strength. When I got back to the gym after being out for 6 weeks he had gotten all his knowledge about the surgery I had done and again got me back into the swing of things.

    I couldn't recommend him enough if your looking for someone for rehab PT or normal PT he knows his stuff and gives you that motivation you need.

    I think to start, it’s important to note that I have been an avid gym goer for the past ten + years but had fallen into a rut in 2021/2022. Think I speak for a lot of people when I say that covid took its toll and the weight piled on.

    I got back on track in July of 2022 but continued to lack the motivation / want to hit the gym daily. I was skeptical about getting a personal trainer … until I met Ian. I started with him in November 2022 doing two sessions a week and then my own training 3 days a week.

    From the start I was very impressed by the wealth of knowledge he possesses when it comes to fitness and health. He has a genuine interest in helping others which directly translates into the work he does with myself. He is meticulous, dependable and most importantly present (a lot of PT’s these days go through the motions).
